Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was not sentenced as scheduled Tuesday, after his attorneys requested a delay to allow him to continue cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contact with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, though his lawyers have argued that federal investigators did not warn him it would be a crime to lie. In court, U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan told Flynn that "arguably, you sold your country out," and said he couldn't hide "my disgust, my disdain" for Flynn's "very serious offense." Mueller's team has recommended little to no prison time for Flynn due to his cooperation.
