The leaked 2005 tape roiled Trump’s presidential campaign—and also cost Bush, 45, his job. “I wish I had changed the topic,” he says. “But I didn’t have the strength of character to do so.” Most painful was a call from his teenage daughter. “She was in tears,” Bush recalls. “She said, ‘Why were you laughing at the things that he was saying?..._They weren’t funny.’” Bush says the public humiliation “hit me all the way to my core.” He has occupied his forced downtime with personaldevelopment seminars, yoga, and meditation.
