James Comey defended his former agency, the FBI, on Thursday after a scathing attack by Rudy Giuliani on Sean Hannity's Fox News show Wednesday night. Giuliani not only personally attacked Comey, calling him a "disgraceful liar" and a "very perverted man," but he also skewered the FBI for raiding the home and office of Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

"The question there was, the only possible violation there would be: Was it a campaign finance violation?" said Giuliani, referring to the $130,000 payment Cohen wired to adult film actress Stormy Daniels in October 2016. "Which usually results in a fine, by the way, not this big stormtroopers coming in and breaking down his apartment and breaking down his office."

On Thursday, Comey hit back. "I know the New York FBI," he tweeted. "There are no 'stormtroopers' there; just a group of people devoted to the rule of law and the truth. Our country would be better off if our leaders tried to be like them, rather than comparing them to Nazis." Zing.
